§ Mr. BrittanSo far as is known, some six police forces in England and Wales have on isolated occasions, as an aid to the investigation of serious criminal offences, arranged for the hypnosis of witnesses or victims, with their consent, by a qualified practitioner. The Home Office has as yet issued no guidance to the police about the use of hypnosis; but this is under consideration.
