§ Mr. Ernie Rossasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is satisfied with the level of funding per capita in the central institutions for which he is responsible when compared with the level of funding per capita in Scottish universities.
§ Mr. Alexander FletcherI am satisfied that the central institutions are funded at a level appropriate to their functions. Grants to universities are a matter for my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Education and Science.
