§ Mr. Formanasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what progress has been made towards securing the transferability of occupational pensions in view of its potential contribution to greater labour mobility.
§ Mrs. ChalkerThe complex question of what further protection should be provided for the occupational pension rights and expectations of employees who change employment, including the transfer of rights between pension schemes, was referred to the Occupational Pensions Board for its advice in March 1978. The board has received evidence from more than 700 organisations and individuals and we hope to receive its report in the early part of next year.
