Brownasked the Prime Minister if she will take particular account of the representations she has received from the Newcastle upon Tyne city council, the Tyne and Wear county council, Newcastle chamber of trade, the North Regional Trades Union Congress and other representative bodies in the region before taking a decision upon the merger of the Northern, Yorkshire and Humberside regional offices of the Departments of the Environment and Transport.
