§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will elaborate upon the European Commission's proposals, referred to in his written answer, Official Report, 8 December, to extend regulations on the registration of crude oil and imported products.
§ Mr. David HowellFollowing the Tokyo summit in 1979 both the IEA and EEC established registers for imports of crude oil and products. The IEA recently agreed to extend both registers into the first six months of 1981, during which time the continuing worth of the registers will be evaluated. Meanwhile, the EEC registers run to 31 December 1980. The Commission has proposed an extension for 12 months, but the matter has yet to be decided by the Council.
