§ Mr. Geraint Howellsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he has any plans to introduce compulsory sheep dipping in 1981; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. WigginDecisions on sheep dipping requirements in 1981 will depend on the incidence of sheep scab. Twenty-eight outbreaks have been confirmed in England this year, of which about a third occurred in the South-West, where compulsory autumn dipping applied. This represents a considerable reduction in number compared with recent years despite some outbreaks in the Midlands.
