§ Mr. FowlerThe EEC directive on the introduction of a community driving licence adopted by the EEC Council of Ministers on 4 December requires the exchange of driving licences issued in other Community countries from 1 January 1983 and the adoption of a common format by 1 January 1986. The United Kingdom Government intend to comply with that timetable.
