The Solicitor-GeneralSince July 1979 in the Greater London area 19 new courtrooms have been completed for we by the Crown court. A further 15 are planned to come526W into use during 1981., and 14 more by the end of 1982. The programme of new court building will continue throughout the decade. In addition, in recent months six new courtrooms in the vicinity of the Royal Courts of Justice have been made available for use by the Supreme Court, and plans are being formulated for providing further permanent accommodation for the court by the mid-1980s. Other possibilities are being explored.
