§ Mr. Christopher Priceasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list in the Official Report those documents which he has released under section 5(1} of the Public Records Act within the 30-year time limit.
§ Mr. Peter Rees[pursuant to his reply, 8 December 1980]: Treasury Ministers have no powers under section 5(1) of the Public Records Act to release documents within 487W the 30-year period; but since May 1979 a version of the Treasury historical memorandum "The Convertibility Crisis of 1947" has been released within that period by the Lord Chancellor at our request.
