§ 83. Mr. Kenneth Lewisasked the Minister for the Civil Service what arrangements have been made to transfer staff into the Department of Employment and the Manpower Services Commission, which have extra work to do because of unemployment, from those Ministries which have a reduction of activity because of the Government cuts.
§ Mr. ChannonThere is in my Department a staff transfers unit which tries to find suitable vacancies in other Departments for staff who become surplus in their existing Department. The Department of Employment and the Manpower Service; Commission are included in these arrangements.
