§ 20. Sir Albert Costainasked the Minister of Transport if, in view of the danger to pedestrians using the footpath between the Esso garage and Tudor Avenue, Dymchurch, he will undertake an investigation into the delay to improvements on the A259 trunk road.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeI am aware that the footway at this point is comparatively narrow and the county council is preparing a possible improvement scheme which I look forward to receiving. Preparatory work on a major scheme to, bypass Dymchurch has been suspended for the time being but it will be resumed when there is a prospect of fitting the bypass into the programme. I see no need for an investigation.
