§ Mr. ParkinsonUnited Kingdom exports of steel to the United States of America in the first 10 months of this year were valued at £50 million. In the year 1979, the latest period for which comparable international information is readily available, they were valued at £107 million—about 12 per cent. of total Community exports of steel to the United States of America. United Kingdom exports in the early part of this year were affected by the steel strike.
