§ 47. Miss Fookesasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what study he has made of the recommendations of the Ammerdown group's report on the transport and slaughter of farm animals, a copy of which has been sent to him by the convener of the group.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithWe expect that the Farm Animals Welfare Council will study this report and will, no doubt, bear its recommendations in mind when it prepares its advice to Ministers on the welfare of farm animals at slaughterhouses, during transport and in markets.
