asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when the report of the Stewart committee on alternatives to prosecution will be published.

§ Mr. Younger
The committee's first report—"The Motorist and Fixed Penalties" — has been published today and copies are available in the Vote Office. My noble and learned Friend the Lord Advocate and I are grateful to Lord Stewart and the other members of the Committee for their thorough report with its many important recommendations. We are now considering these recommendations and also look forward with interest to the committee's second report.
