§ Mr. Michael Brownasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he plans to make a further reduction in the number of troops in Northern Ireland in January 1981.
§ Mr. HayhoeWe continue to look forward to a time when it will be possible for us to withdraw more regular units from Northern Ireland and for those that remain to return to their normal role and training. There are, however, no current plans to make a further reduction in the number of troops there in January 1981.
