HC Deb 02 December 1980 vol 995 cc128-9W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what consideration he has given to the submission of the National Federation of Self-Employed and Small Businesses Limited entitled "Income During Initial Sickness: A Prescription for Disaster" giving the federation's views on his Green Paper; and what reply he is sending.

Mr. Prentice

I met representatives of the National Federation of Self-Employed and Small Businesses Limited on 10 November, and discussed in detail its submission on the Green Paper "Income During Initial Sickness: A New Strategy". We have taken fully into account the comments of the federation and the 1,000 or so other organisations and individuals who have made representations. This is reflected in the changes that my right hon. Friend announced to the House on 21 November.—[Vol. 994, c. 185–90.]
