§ Dr. BoysonMy right hon. and learned Friend hopes to make an announcement in January 1981. The Remuneration of Teachers Act 1965 does not require criteria to be specified for determining membership. Successive Secretaries of State have considered relevant membership figures to be important but not paramount. It has been customary, though not mandatory, to consult other interested parties.
