§ Mr. David MitchellThe Government's policies are designed to help create the conditions in which competitive and enterprising firms can develop in all parts of the country, including Wandsworth. General assistance to industry is available under section 8 of the Industry Act 1972 and the Science and Technology Act 1965, and, within the borough of Wandsworth, under the Inner Urban Areas Act 1978. There are also Government measures to help small businesses.
