asked the Secretary of State for Energy whether he will cause an investigation to be made to ascertain the savings in fuel and energy which would result if a three-day week were introduced as the normal working week and if such work were performed as near as possible during the daylight hours; and what would be the estimated gross savings by operating such a system of employment.
