HL Deb 08 August 1980 vol 412 c1778WA
The Earl of HARROWBY

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will make representations to the Post Office about the unsatisfactory state of the mails in and out of Oxford which is causing serious confusion and uncertainty in the area.

Viscount LONG

No; the question of the mail service in a particular area is a matter for the Post Office. If the noble Lord has any evidence of delays to specific items of mail in the Oxford area, I suggest that he draws the fact to the Managing Director (Posts) at the Post Office, who would, I am sure, look into the position.
