§ Mr. Campbell-Savoursasked the Secretary of State for Industry if, in pursuance of the undertaking given by the Leader of the House that a full departmental answer on the paper and board industry would be provided, he will make a further statement relative to industrial energy prices.
§ Mr. David MitchellEnergy prices were discussed by the National Economic Development Council on 6 August, when the Government's energy pricing principles were broadly endorsed, but there was concern about their practical consequences for energy intensive industries. It was agreed that the factual position needed to be more fully established, and the CBI will be co-ordinating the collection of information. This Department will be closely associated with this work.
