§ Mr. Fauldsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, with reference to his written answer to the hon. Member for Warley, East, Official Report, 14 July, c. 418–9, loans to the Royal Academy of Arts for public exhibition of works of art which have not been covered by Government indemnity could give rise to a ruling by the Commissioners of Inland Revenue that a breach had occurred of the undertaking for the preservation of works of art conditionally exempted from capital transfer tax or estate duty.
