§ Mr. Douglas-Mannasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what proportion of the estimated cost to public funds of the costs department of the office of the Treasury Solicitor is attributable to applications for costs in respect of claims which had been settled by Government Departments, with which the Treasury Solicitor's office had not been involved at the time of settlement.
§ Sir Geoffrey Howe[pursuant to his reply, 4 August 1980, c. 44]: It is estimated that the cost is of the order of £10,000 to £15,000.
