§ Mr. Bob Dunnasked the Minister of Transport what was the cost of the public inquiry held recently in connection with 201W proposals to raise Dartford tunnel toll charges; which organisations asked for the inquiry; and which organisations were represented at the inquiry and which apologised for absence.
§ Mr. Fowler[pursuant to his reply. 4 July 1980]: The Dartford Tunnel Joint Committee is responsible for meeting the costs of the inquiry, but I understand these are not yet known. The Dartford Liberal Assocation exercised its right to require an inquiry, which was held on 29 July, but neither the association nor any other of the objectors appeared or was represented at the inquiry.
