§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he has yet received any representations on the Social Services Committee's report on perinatal and neonatal mortality; from whom he has received representations; and if he will make a statement.
§ Dr. VaughanOrganisations and individuals with an interest in this important topic had the opportunity of submitting evidence to the Social Services Committee during its inquiry, so that their views 55W could be taken into account in the Committee's report. My right hon. Friend is now considering the report very carefully with the aim of presenting a full reply to Parliament in the autumn. The hon. Member will be familiar with the Procedure Committee's recommendations about the time allowed to Government Departments for publication of their observations on Select Committee reports.
