§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will reconsider his decision to downgrade the regional development status to non-assisted area in the constituency of East Aberdeenshire in view of the need to attract new industry into that area due to the present critical situation in the agriculture, fishing, and construction industries.
§ Mr. David MitchellWe have no plans to reverse the decisions which were announced in July last year, though we shall be reviewing the situation in all development areas due to become non-assisted on 1 August 1982 before the final de-scheduling takes place.
