§ 44. Mr. Costainasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he will be in a position to announce a decision, following the public inquiry in respect of the siting of the Central Electricity Generating Board proposed converter station adjoining the village of Sellindge.
§ Mr. FoxI received the inspector's report of the public inquiry on 12 March. The decision in this case is one for both my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Energy. The issues involved are complex and important and I cannot yet say when a decision will be made. I shall, however, ensure, that the time spent on processing this appeal is kept down to a minimum.
