injuries, diseases of the brain, and in the diagnosis and control of treatment in malignant disease.
It is also possible, using the scanner, to obtain information about a number of internal organs which were previously difficult to examine with conventional X-ray equipment. The RVH scanner provides a regional service and is available to consultants from all parts of Northern Ireland.
