§ Mr. StanleyHousing capital allocations totalling £2,775 million have been made available for 1980–81 to local authorities, new towns, and the Housing Corporation.
In addition, the Government have been taking a series of steps in the private sector to speed up land release and planning decisions, and in the public sector to encourage starter homes schemes, improvement for sale and shared ownership.
