§ Mr. Alexander FletcherThe Scottish Teachers Salaries Committee reached a settlement yesterday—28 April—in the light of the recommendations made by the commission. This gives full effect to the general intention of the commission's recommendations for teachers employed by local authorities in Scotland. My right hon. Friend and I welcome the rapid progress made by the committee in concluding a settlement.
