§ 50. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why it is taking so long for him to reply to the communication from the hon. Member for Newham, North-West inquiring as to the methods he should adopt in obtaining naturalisation; when he may expect a reply to this letter dealing with the case of Ms. A. H. of Stratford, E15; and whether he will take action to expedite his replies to letters in the future.
§ Mr. RaisonI wrote to the hon. Member on 22 April and do not consider that there was any undue delay in replying to his letter which was received in the Home Office on 31 March.
As to the other parts of the question, I am satisfied that every effort is made to reply to hon. Members' letters as quickly as possible.
