Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Glasgow, Mary-hill on 15 April concerning the percentage of those employed by area health boards in Scotland who are registered disabled persons, if he will draw the attention of the boards to the aims of the Government's "Fit for Work" campaign to facilitate the employment of the disabled.

Mr. Fairgrieve

Scottish health authorities have already received literature about the "Fit for Work" campaign from the Manpower Services Commission. My Department is calling authorities' attention to the quota figures for employment of disabled people published annually in theDepartment of Employment Gazette and will take the opportunity of commending the campaign to them.
