with six other firms. It is believed that these schemes will contribute to an evolutionary advance of the technology at a rate which industry can economically justify. The projects supported will also serve as practical demonstration sites for the rest of industry.

The ASP committee maintains a constant dialogue with firms which could benefit from these techniques and periodically organises meetings of general and technical management to discuss the objectives and progress of this work.
