§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Attorney-General why the facts of the innocence of Mr. George Lindo were withheld from his solicitors by the Registrar of Criminal Appeals and by the Director of Public Prosecutions; and if he will take steps to ensure that a similar situation does not arise again.
§ The Attorney-GeneralI have just obtained a report on this matter from the Director of Public Prosecutions, and the Lord Chancellor has obtained a report from the Registrar of Criminal Appeals. I shall be able to reply fully to the question when I have been able to discuss with the Lord Chancellor the content of these reports.
