§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, when introducing his 1980 Finance Bill to give legislative effect to his Budget and proposals on the taxation of cars and benefits from it, he will seek to ensure that Ministers and Members of the House of Lords pay tax on their travel warrants used on public transport in the same way as that applied to the Commons Members of Parliament.
§ Mr. Peter ReesTravel warrants used by Ministers and Members of the House of Lords are treated in the same way for tax purposes as those used by Members of this House.
