asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement and give the circumstances and cause of death of Mr. David Logdon in Brixton prison.

As I stated in my reply to a question by the hon. Member for Lambeth, Central (Mr. Tilley), Mr. Logdon was found dead in his cell on 30 March 1980. The police and the coroner were informed. The police are inquiring into Mr. Logdon's death, and until the outcome of those inquiries and the result of the inquest are known we can add nothing further.
