asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the numbers of medical staff at all levels in the main London and provincial teaching hospitals; and if he will provide a breakdown of the figures according to specialisation.

The relevant information for the London postgraduate teaching hospitals at September 1979 is in an annex to the regional tables, copies of which are in the Library of the House. This information is not collected centrally for other individual teaching hospitals.
