HC Deb 14 April 1980 vol 982 c538W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when the report of the National Insurance Advisory Committee on housewives' non-contributory invalidity pension was originally expected; and why it has been delayed.

Mr. Prentice

When a question is referred to the National Insurance Advisory Committee, no time limit is set on the consideration of it. I understand that this particular reference has taken longer than usual because the committee received a great deal of written and oral evidence. I now expect the report to be available in the next few months.
