§ Mr. Jim Lester[pursuant to his reply, 31 March 1980, c. 57]: The Department of Employment's grant to community industry is administered by the Manpower Services Commission, and I am informed by the commission that no study of the effects of the community industry programme on disadvantaged young people in Manchester has been made. No increase in the number of places available in the community industry unit operating in Manchester is planned at present.
