§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what representations he received from people or groups opposing the inclusion of questions on ethnic minorities in the next United Kingdom census; and what were the organisations these people represented.
§ Sir George YoungA description of the consultations about a question on ethnic origin is given in OPCS Census Monitor 80/3 which also contains a complete list of the organisations which 403W attended meetings or sent their views in writing. I am sending a copy to my hon. Friend and placing a copy in the Library of the House.
