HC Deb 02 April 1980 vol 982 c286W
Mr. John Wells

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has had from Kent county councillors concerning Shenley airfield, Headcorn; and what action he proposes to take.

Mr. Fox

I have had three letters from a Kent county councillor about a planning application for the use of one turboprop aircraft at Shenley airfield for crop spraying. I am satisfied that it is appropriate for the local planning authorities themselves to decide the application, and they have been so informed.
