§ Mr. Alexander FletcherThe Government are committed to supporting the role of the existing new towns in Scotland in creating jobs and securing our industrial future. The development corporations will therefore continue until their job is completed but we believe they should actively encourage the private ownership of housing and industrial and commercial property.
