§ Mr. YoungerThe Government acknowledge that the fishing industry faces great difficulties. To alleviate these, we are, as my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food told the House on 13 March, making available £3 million by way of temporary aid. For the longer-term prosperity of the industry, we must look to a satisfactory settlement of the common fisheries policy.
