§ Mr. Peter Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether, in order to dissociate the United Kingdom from May Day celebrations, and to strengthen national unity, he will ensure that the bank holiday on the Monday immediately following 1 May is designated in official documents as United Kingdom Day.
