§ Mr. Giles ShawIt is estimated that in 63 per cent. of Northern Ireland households a solid fuel installation is the principal space-heating facility and in 3 per cent. of households the main facility is a piped gas installation. In addition, some 8 per cent. of households use solid fuel as a supplementary form of heating and 6 per cent. use piped gas in this way.
