§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the contribution by Her Majesty's Government to the International Year of the Disabled Person in 1981.
§ Mr. PrenticeThe Government have established an inter-departmental official steering group, including representatives from the local authority associations and the National Health Service, to co-ordinate its response to the year. Voluntary organisations of and for disabled people will have a vital role to play and the Government are paying a grant to the national council of social service to administer a voluntary organisations' committee to stimulate and co-ordinate the voluntary sector's activities for the year.
