§ Mr. Alexanderasked the Lord Privy Seal, in view of the fact that the German Democratic Republic has now been in existence for 30 years, and that in an apparent gesture of good will a number of Soviet military personnel and tanks, even if of a token amount, have been removed from the German Democratic Republic, if his noble Friend will consider making an official visit to that country to see whether he can contribute to the reduction of tension between East and West, particularly in Germany and Berlin.
