§ Mr. Tilleyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment, in view of his intention to withdraw funds from the centre for environmental studies, whether he is satisfied that there will be adequate independent research on the employment implications of industrial modernisation and restructuring.
§ Mr. KingFunding of work in this field at the centre for environmental studies was in any case to be phased out in the near future as no longer of primary concern to this Department. Future research needs are a matter for my right418W hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Industry.
