§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of threats of murder against the officers in Peterhead 184W prison, he will set up a commmittee of inquiry into conditions at this prison, in order to protect the lives of the prison officers and other staff.
§ Mr. RifkindI am aware of the publication of a letter containing such a suggestion, but do not think that the setting up of a committee of inquiry would serve any useful purpose in connection with it.
