§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithI assume my hon. Friend is referring to the extension of the common agricultural policy to products at present outside its scope.
The Council of Ministers will resume discussion on a sheepmeat regime at its meeting next week and I expect it to return to the proposed regimes for potatoes and alcohol before the end of the year. It is not at present possible to forecast when agreement on any of these regimes will be reached.
